‘Time Travel Forwards’ – RGS Be Creative Workshop Song

This song was made with very talented and musical local year 6 children in Guildford on 19th November 2016 – a group of 18 co-wrote the lyrics and music with Be Creative’s Raph Clarkson, who led the workshop. We decided to write a song about looking to the future, with everyone in the group in their final year of primary school and soon moving on to a new school and therefore new adventures. Fantastic work from everyone!

The workshop was part of the Royal Grammar School’s (Guildford) continued outreach programme to local Guildford primary schools.

Lyrics:

Verse
I want to time travel forwards, and see what life is like
It’s time to decide what to do with my life
There’ll always be people, changing what you do
But never ever be, anyone but you!

Chorus
Trying to forget the past
Growing up way too fast
Waiting for the birds to sing
A new life is gonna begin
